Where do you get your data?
Tenant sales data are submitted by the retailer as as specified in the lease. Inherent in the calculation of percentage rent is the definition of gross sales originating from the premises; the inclusions, deductions, and exclusions from gross sales, the certification of the sales by the retailer including reconciliations, and the specific periodic reporting requirement are all defined in the lease. EXETER™ takes these factors into consideration to ensure data entry accuracy and compliance.
What data can I collect from retailers with EXETER™?
EXETER™ allows the tenant sales collection process to conform to the tenant’s lease requirements. The collected tenant sales data comprise gross sales and can be adjusted for deductions or exclusions as specified in the lease. EXETER™ allows for periodic reporting according to the time frame specified in the lease.
Can I see individual store sales?
Individual store sales can only be viewed by the retailer submitting the sales data and the persons designated by the property management company overseeing the shopping center where the store is located. EXETER™ Retail DataHub Benchmark data will not reveal any specific store location sales data to any other party. This is strictly confidential information.
Can I see specific shopping center sales?
Specific shopping center sales data can be viewed only by the authorized users for that property management company. EXETER™ Retail DataHub Benchmark data will not be revealed to third parties or tenant retail sales data for any specific property location. That is strictly confidential information.
How is the EXETER™ Retail DataHub Benchmark calculated?
To ensure anonymity in EXETER™ Retail DataHub benchmark reporting, strict criteria are followed to mask the source. Benchmarks are an aggregate of data from multiple shopping center companies, multiple shopping centers, and multiple retailers. Aggregated data are only released from shopping center companies authorizing EXETER™ to do so. Aggregated data allows participants to recognize sales trends on a real-time basis. All data are encrypted, secure, anonymous, and strictly confidential.

Can I get a customized report and integrate EXETER™ with my property management software?
Yes, customized reports are available upon request. Additional fees may apply. EXETER™ or your property management software provider can also help customize your tenant sales reporting to integrate the data collected through EXETER™ with your internal property management software. The EXETER™ tenant sales reporting solution lets your retail tenants enter their monthly sales in the secure EXETER™ portal.
